THE POWER OF YOUR VISION: 4 PRINCIPLES
By Mary Lyn Miller

Everyone is a visionary.  Planning your vacation is a “visioning” process.  Writing out a grocery list requires vision and forethought.  Vision is not reserved only for gurus on mountaintops or corporate CEO’s.  Visioning is a process by which, consciously or unconsciously, you have created virtually everything that already exists in your life.

Unfortunately, many of us grew up with “visions” of insecurity, inadequacy and lack.  Unknowingly, we then project those visions into the future with such strong belief that, in fact, it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy a self-fulfilling prophecy.

This is “unconscious visioning”.  Your pre-programmed, subconscious tapes create negative expectations for the future and they come to pass.  (See the “8 Myths of Making a Living and the Truth of Making a Life” for exercises to identify and re-program unproductive beliefs.)

Harnessing and directing the power of your vision is the key to replacing limiting expectations and creating desirable outcomes in your life.

Start off the New Year right with “conscious visioning” - choosing what you want to bring into your life based on passion, love and desire, rather than fear and insecurity (which is how negative unconscious visions are created).

THE 4 BASIC PRINCIPLES OF DEVELOPING A POSITIVE CONSCIOUS VISION ARE:

  1. Explore Your Passion
Positive, supportive visioning is always passion-based.  (See schedule below for Passion Workshop.)

  2. Connect With the “Feeling” or Sense of Your Vision
Your feelings are the magnet.  Fear attracts more fearful situations; passion attracts abundant, zestful experiences.

  3. Let Go of “How” It Will Come to Pass
Opportunities will meet you at the level of your vision.  Once you are clear and specific about what you want in your life and you believe in your idea, circumstances over which you have no control will conspire to bring it to you.  If it sounds ludicrous, it is.  Nonetheless, it is the truth.

  4. Take Action
Any action that is in alignment with your vision will do.  Don’t over-analyze it, project or try to figure out the repercussions.  As Nike said, “Just Do It!”  Something will happen.

“Passion provides the energy and fuel for your future.  Vision provides the direction”  - - “The 8 Myths of Making a Living and the Truth of Making a Life”

Try these steps - they work!  Let us know any results.  Meanwhile, we wish you a Happy and Prosperous New Year, filled with passion, vision and joy!
