This has been a very exciting month, and I know that we have many new subscribers as a result of the article on MSN Careerbuilder, and I know you are seeking a more rewarding, fulfilling life!

While, initially, it may seem that a new job might provide that - and it might - there are 3 Phases of developing a Fulfilling Life that you might want to be address as well.

You are a magnificent being with an incredible "seed" or core within you. It goes far beyond your learned skills, education or training. This seed is the "essence" of who you are. It defines what excites you, impassions you, and sets you on fire because, for YOU, it is the core of your life force. The truly incredible thing is that when allow your seed to blossom fully, you stand out, you are recognized for your unique contributions, you are rewarded. You become a magnet for financial, personal, and personal growth opportunities of all sorts. Struggle and worry lessen as you become more hopeful and inspired.

Many of my clients comment on how "doors just opened without having to do very much."

But, many of us take our amazing seed, and without realizing it, do nothing to nurture it. You may be planted in an environment that does not support you and feel like no matter what you do or how hard you try, you are "out of place." (You are.)

You can't find others who think like you do or "get you." (They don't.)

You make wake up depressed, because, in fact, your spirit is "repressed," and you may even dread what you are doing, but don't know what else to do.

Because what about the money! Heaven knows you need money! You probably worry about money because financial worries and struggles are the natural outcome of a mis-planted seed. We think the way to fix our money problems is to make more money, when, in fact, what we need to do is get into a new garden where we can shine.

No matter how glorious the seed, if it is given no light, water or air, and you throw a slab of concrete on top of it (often corporate life), it will never grow to its full potential. Every now and then, a crack may appear and some sunlight will stream in and our poor seed will desperately seek to get to the light - that is called "struggle."

When you nurture that essence - that seed- within you and follow the path that is determined by that seed, your life force - your passion and sense of purpose and self-worth will awaken, and you will begin to sense and new freedom and life.

This is called fulfillment. It is fulfilling the deepest reason you are here on the planet - expressing and blossoming your true nature. It comes easily (eventually) because it is exactly what you are here to do.

Oh, the 3 Phases!

PHASE 1: First, you have to DEFINE YOUR SEED. How will you know how to grow if you aren't clear about who you really are? I do that with you in the "Core Essence Coaching Program - Level 1 Discovering." I offer a series of questionnaires and a 6 session coaching program that will clearly define your Core Essence and begin the process of Phase 2.

PHASE 2: It's time for some re-planting! Through individual coaching and sometimes support groups, the slow, gentle process of moving into the right environment, surrounding yourself with supportive people, (usually not family or close friends), and beginning to expose yourself to choices that truly support your Core Essence, a transformation begins to occur.

Things "begin to happen." Synchronicity takes place. Rather than working hard and struggling, opportunities just seem to present themselves. Inexplicably, you seem to be in the "right place at the right time." (That's because you are.)

"I had always dreamed about opening a childcare center, but always worked doing everything else - miserably. Once I really got in touch that it was part of my Core Essence, and started to take small risks, it just seemed to happen. Suddenly opportunities I had never been able to see before were right in front of me. It really does work."

PHASE 3: Share it! Once you start to get comfortable in your new garden of life and begin to bloom quite naturally (you notice you don't have to stand over a rose for it to blossom quite nicely), then it's time to up the fulfillment and give it to others.

There's nothing quite as exciting as sharing success. So, we have a new CERTIFICATION PROGRAM to become a CERTIFIED CORE ESSENCE COACH so some of you can share it with others. It will make it even more meaningful for you personally, but even more, wouldn't the world be a better place if we were all contributing fully, completely and passionately?

As anyone who has read "The 8 myths of Making a Living," may know, the final myth deals with Support. Successful people avail themselves of support. It really makes a big difference.

For most of us, the problem is that we're thinking with our own thoughts. That's dangerous, because in many cases it led us to lack of fulfillment.

I don't expect that you will get in touch with your Core Essence and then just automatically know everything you're supposed to do the rest of your life. You need to be around other people like you. You need to know you are not alone, you are not crazy, and that other people think like you. It's part of putting yourself in a nurturing environment.

Thus, over the years we discovered that "teams" of people working together accelerated growth considerably. At first it was people in my hometown, then in Los Angeles, then in Southern California. Today we are putting together from all over the world.

Join one of 2 classes depending on your schedule for a weekly facilitated discussion group to keep you focused on your Core Essence and the related steps!

SPOTLIGHT: CAROL SLIGH

Carol attended my "Discovering Your Life's Purpose" class at South Bay Adult School almost 2 years ago, and we have been attached ever since.

Shortly after the class, she wrote me a beautiful e-mail saying she realized she was here to help people with their Life's Purpose also, and she wanted to support our efforts here at the Life & Career Clinic.

Since that time, she has been actively involved in teaching classes with us, and facilitating groups - especially around the subject of fear - which blocks so many of us from our purpose in life.

Meanwhile she is the poster child for dedicating herself to her Core Essence. She had a strong desire to be a public speaker. "Once I really focused on that, things happened pretty quickly," she said. "I realized I wanted to speak in front of large audiences, and despite the fact I had never done it before, within months I was in London speaking in front of over 100 people."

Another one of her passions is children and youth. Now, she has another outlet for her Essence! She is being trained to go with a non-profit organization, Antioch Missions International, to Johannesburg South Africa this coming July to work with young adults and orphanages. They are going to offer educational programs to help build their sense of self worth and purpose.
