Today’s economy is forcing dramatic changes throughout the entire workforce which creates increased stress, anxiety, lack of productivity, lower morale and inability for individuals to feel they can reach personal goals.  How do organizations cope with this in a world of dwindling resources? In addition, as individuals are required to transition to new careers or create small businesses to survive, few have any way to maintain the needed momentum through the long process of change.  Unfortunately, the lack of support leads to a lower success rate for those in transition. Mary Lyn Miller is a leader in the area of Personal and Career Development, Transition, Accountability, Team Building and Success through Structured Collaboration.  She has been a career coach since 1989, and is the CEO of the “Fired Up for Success Mentoring and Mastermind Network” .

She has created, led, managed and trained facilitators for collaborative teams and Mastermind groups for 18 years.  A low cost and effective use of resources, her system has propelled participants into being accountable, accomplishing goals far more quickly than they expected and thriving despite difficult times.

In presenting the concept of collaborative groups and facilitated mastermind teams, she has partnered with the Anderson School of Business at UCLA, the Los Angeles County Office of Education, the Veterans Administration, and most recently, the Small Business Administration and their the federally funded Small Business Development Centers at El Camino College and Long Beach City College.

A former Fortune 500 executive and cancer survivor, she speaks to audiences about the importance of support and collaboration in healing. She was selected as the keynote speaker in Sacramento for the National Cancer Survivors Day and her story was also published in the best seller, “Chicken Soup for the Soul: 101 Stories of Cancer Survivors.” 

Mary Lyn is also the author of “The 8 Myths of Making a Living and the Truth of Making a Life.”  She is a recognized expert who has been interviewed on the internet, radio and television.
